As a registered provisional psychologist and certified perinatal counsellor, I specialize in working with people trying to conceive, through the pregnancy, and beyond the pregnancy. Whether you are a new parent, a seasoned parent, or hope to be one soon, I am available to support you in these tough transitions.
As a midwife and therapist, I have a combined 15 years of holding space for people through life’s most beautiful and most painful moments.
And with three young kids, I’ve experienced the highs and lows of navigating pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and parenting. Our mental health as parents matters.
Areas of interest of mine include birth trauma, grief, parenting and relationship challenges. I hold a certifications specific to perinatal mental health (PMH-C and CC-PMH). I have also completed specialized training in perinatal grief and loss and birth and reproductive trauma.
My style is grounded in relational and attachment-informed therapeutic approaches. I use a variety of modalities tailored to meet your unique needs. I am trained to use eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), which is a helpful framework for working through traumatic memories but can also be effective for other common concerns. I also have training in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), internal family systems (IFS), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and relational-cultural therapy.
